Belle Wood Equestrian Centre is excited to offer a coaching and lunging clinic series with Coach Developer/Competition Coach Specialist and Coach of the Year 2017 Linda Weldon. Linda has been a EC Coach Developer for 30 years and offers a wealth of expertise in all disciplines.
The Clinic Series will provide theory preparation as well as hands on practice of the LUNGING and TEACHING components for anyone working towards their future Coaching Certification.
The clinic will involve 8 sessions which may be booked as a package or individually.
Preference will be given to those candidates taking the full series.
$90.00 plus HST Per Series
$70.00 plus HST Per Series **when signing up Min 3 Dates**
Payment required to hold the spot prior to the Registered Date

Sunday, Jan 19
LUNGING Part #1 - will include theory and actual practice towards improvement of lunging techniques, including use of side reins.
Sunday, Jan 26
LUNGING Part #2 - will introduce and practice correct procedure for mounting a rider and giving a brief lesson on the lunge.
Sunday Feb 9
TEACHING THEORY - Will be an in class theory session on introducing OR improving coaching techniques and review of how to complete a lesson plan to prep for your certification.

TEACHING ON THE FLAT PART # 1 - will give participants hands on practice with 3 students/horses to teach in a group situation. Constructive feedback will be given to each participant.

TEACHING ON THE FLAT Part #2 - will give participants another opportunity for hands on practice of flat topics. Constructive feedback will be given to each participant.

OVER FENCES THEORY - will be partially an in class session reviewing correct distances and then hands on experience setting up a gymnastic and course with correct distance/striding in the arena.
Sunday Apr 5
TEACHING OVER FENCES Part #1 - will give participants the opportunity to practice their jumping teaching skills with 3 students/horses in a group situation. Constructive feedback will be given to each participant.
Sunday Apr 19
TEACHING OVER FENCES Part #2 - will give participants another opportunity to practice a different jump topic with constructive feedback given.
